The DCTC Lions Club participated once again this year in the annual Out of the Darkness walk to highlight suicide awareness and mental health challenges.  This is the third year the Lions have shown their support for this cause.  Turnout was huge:  The Lions joined roughly 500 others to show their support.  The event was held at Como Lake in St. Paul on September 14, 2014.

The next event the Lions will be participating in is  Habitat for Humanity, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17.  This is MEA weekend, so students will not have to miss any classes.  The event runs from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Lunch will be provided.  No skills are necessary – just a willingness to help build a home in Woodbury.  Please contact either Brett Kolles brett.kolles@dctc.edu  or Pat Lair  patrick.lair@dctc.edu if you are interested in helping.  There is a limit of ten volunteers.
