There were a few Photons members that made it out to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park on March 31, 2019. The Conservatory offers special Artist, Photographer & Family Photo Hours each month between 8 – 10 a.m. Whether you choose the lush greenery of the North Garden or the flowers in the Sunken Garden, this is the perfect opportunity to use the many gardens inside the Conservatory as a backdrop for your holiday family photos. Guests are welcome to bring in their own camera and find the perfect spot for their photo. Cost is $5 per person.

Here’s a quick recap from Christine Cornelius:

“Here are the images from the Photons trip to the Como Conservatory from March 31, 2019. There were only 3 of us that attended. Darrel Tangen, Craig Johnson and myself.

I really enjoyed being able to go in and take pictures of all the flowers. This was much needed after the weather that we had over the winter. The flowers were beautiful and very fragrant. It was bright and sunny outside so the conservatory was brightly lit with sunshine.

When we first arrived, there were about 15 people there, so it wasn’t too bad. But then more photographers started showing up with clients to do engagement, maternity and family photos, so it got a little congested.

There are so many photographic opportunities at the Como Conservatory and no way to do them all in the short time span allowed by the park. But I think between the 3 of us we came out with some pretty great images. I will definitely be being going back to capture more images.”
