Due to popular demand, a new course was created and offered this fall at DCTC.  Advanced North Shore Photo Workshop.

Darrell has been hosting North Shore photo workshops once a semester since the year 2000.  These photo workshops give the students a chance to visit, photography and learn about the north shore area of Minnesota.  Over the years, we had hosted about 40 of these seasonal workshops and we kept getting requests to have more courses to visit other parts of the Great Lakes area.  So for the fall of 2014, we created a new special topic course, the advanced version of the north shore class, and planned a visit to the Porcupine Mts Wilderness State Park in upper Michigan to catch the fall colors during the first part of October.

Fifteen students signed up immediately.  Prerequisites required that each student signing up needed to have attended 2 previous NS workshops.  The weather was great, almost too good, blue skies 2 of the 3 days.  We all came home with some great photos and had a great experience.  We hope to continue to offer this advance courses each fall.   Here is our group photo, taken at the overlook for Lake of the Clouds in the park just before sunrise.
