The Photons photography club and the photography program offered families the opportunity to get beautiful holiday portraits taken for a suggested donation of only $25. As a salute to service, veterans and active duty services members received their portraits free of charge. The portrait event is a yearly event that raises money for the Photons photography club and provides students with real-world experience working with clients.

Families were provided with about a dozen great images on a USB drive, a printed contact sheet with their images, and a copyright release so they could make prints, enlargements or holiday cards at a local photo labs or to share on social media.

There were four evening session to choose from: Monday, Dec. 3th, Wednesday Dec. 5th, Monday, Dec. 10th , and Wednesday Dec 12th between 4 and 7 p.m. Holiday themed backdrops and props were available, or clients could choose to capture their portraits with a non-themed background.

The event raised $625 and had 18 families go home with wonderful photos that they will cherish for years to come.
