About Spokin

Spokin is a fast-growing startup on a mission to make life easier for people managing food allergies and celiac disease. We partner with food brands, healthcare organizations, colleges, and more to deliver trusted, allergy-safe resources through our iOS app and digital channels. We move fast, think big, and care deeply about the community we serve.

We’re looking for a creative, resourceful, and highly organized Designer and Content Creator to join our small but mighty team. You’ll own everything that design touches including social media content, email campaigns, event materials and more — reporting directly to our CEO and founder, meaning you have the greatest opportunity to learn, grow your skillset and have a real impact on our business. There is unlimited growth potential.

The ideal candidate brings strong design instincts, sharp writing skills, and hustle. We want someone who takes job ownership, is resourceful, organized and believes everything is possible!

What you’ll do

  • Design email campaigns for Spokin content and branded partners
  • Create social media content including reels, static posts, and stories
  • Write engaging copy for social media, email campaigns, guides and app notifications
  • Oversee events and activations including designing influencer boxes, signage and merch – from sourcing to ensuring delivery
  • Publish content across our platforms including email, website, app and social media
  • Manage and update website content and visuals
  • Create campaign performance summaries that highlight results and insights
  • Design and iterate app designs for new features

What you bring

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • Strong Canva skills, especially for reels and social content
  • Familiarity with Figma for UI/UX design
  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (MyEmma, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
  • A modern aesthetic and strong taste level — you’re plugged into current design trends, social trends, and pop culture
  • Strong written communication skills — you can write copy that sounds human and on-brand
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize based on deadlines, lead times, and urgency
  • Enthusiasm for using AI tools to work smarter and faster
  • An iPhone (our app is iOS only)

Who you are — our three H’s of our culture:

At Spokin, cultural fit matters as much as skill. We hire for these three qualities above all else.

Humble. You take feedback as the opportunity to learn.

Hungry. You do what it takes to get the job done. You take ownership of your work from start to finish, you’re resourceful when you don’t have all the answers, and you believe anything is possible. You don’t just complete tasks — you question how they can be done better, faster, and more accurately. You’re excited about AI, not intimidated by it.

Human smart. You have high emotional intelligence. You read the room, communicate clearly and you’re a team player.

You’re also deeply organized — you know how to prioritize what needs to happen first based on deadlines, lead times, and urgency. You are curious, especially about latest trends from social media to AI.

Bonus points

A personal connection to food allergies or celiac disease is not required but a huge plus. Second best is that you are highly empathetic to the pain point.
