Description: This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating community education events and marketing initiatives, including catalog coordination, design, and preparation.
260 days per year
40 hours per week
Salary Range: $54,730-$63,854
Essential functions of the job may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate program coordinators in the planning and implementation of communications/marketing initiatives for the year.
- Work closely with coordinators to plan and design the Community Education Catalog three times per year.
- Create a yearly catalog schedule and coordinate with House of Print.
- Design, author, edit, and manage content on the Community Education main website, registration website, and digital broadcast website.
- Design, author, and edit newsletters, electronic communications, flyers, postcards, tri-folds, press releases, and other marketing materials as necessary for a variety of audiences and purposes while maintaining the Community Education style guidelines.
- Proofread and edit marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, clarity, and style while guiding the administrative assistants to do the same.
- Implement social media campaigns. Create and monitor Community Education social media posts.
- Provide assistance and advice to staff with their school-to-home communications.
- Contact businesses and organizations to sponsor advertisements in Community Education publications.
- Design and manage the Community Education apparel store(s).
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, English, or a related field preferred.
- Prior work experience in the area of marketing or communications including an understanding of style guides preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of audiences (e.g. parents, the general public, staff, and outside agencies).
- Proficient in using Windows, Apple, and Google computer operating systems, as well as software systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Outlook email, calendar, etc.
- Proficient in InDesign, and Canva.
