We are pleased to welcome The Minnesota Wild’s Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communication as well as The Minnesota Wild’s Marketing Manager to discuss how the evolution of their brand has and will enhance ticket sales through new marketing methods and insights.

The National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild has been through brand evolution since the team arrived in Minnesota back in 2000. To help their brand evolve, they’ve worked hard to keep the brand fresh and relevant. The Minnesota Wild recently wrapped up their latest Brand Summit rooted in fan research conducted by their Marketing Intelligence Group.

What you’ll learn:

  • The development of ticket renewal and new ticket sales websites
  • Evolutions and usage of marketing methods to customize messaging and track web behavior
  • Creation of fan segments based on internal research efforts and how we are bringing these segments to life

About John Maher

 John Maher is in his fifth season as Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communication for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. Maher leads the management of brand, creative and advertising efforts, as well as supervising staff responsible for game presentation events, promotions, publications, Minnesota Sports & Entertainment (MSE) Creative Services and media production. Maher also recently took on oversight of the team’s Communications/Broadcast Department. Maher joined the organization in 2000 as Direction of Production Services and was first tasked with building the creative and technical capabilities needed to launch all elements of the Wild’s Inaugural Season.

About Bridget Johnson

 Bridget Johnson joined The Minnesota Wild in October 2011. Johnson is part of The Minnesota Wild’s Marketing Intelligence Group and is responsible for customer segmentation, campaign management and new product development. Prior to joining the Wild, Johnson worked at Paradysz, a multi-channel marketing firm and at Martin|Williams Advertising, both located in Minneapolis, MN.
