April is Autism Acceptance Month, formerly known as Autism Awareness Month. According to the CDC1 out of 36 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Autism Society defines ASD as “a complex, lifelong developmental condition that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person’s social skills, communication, relationships, and self-regulation,” though everyone experiences autism differently. Celebrate neurodiversity and learn more about autism with these books and videos from our collection.
