September 22-28 is Banned Books Week, an annual event sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) celebrating the freedom to read. Each year there are hundreds of attempts to have books removed from libraries and classrooms. ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom maintains lists of Frequently Challenged Books. Here are some of the titles you’ll find in the DCTC Library:
