Myth: Bamboo flooring is the ideal sustainable flooring product.
Bamboo is a good sustainable product for flooring, but the carbon footprint associated with transporting bamboo to the US negativley impacts the environment. A better choice for flooring is locally harvested oak in lieu of rapidly renewable bamboo.
