New routing for Route 420 starts September 2, 2025
Starting September 2, 2025, DCTC students will be able to ride the bus to the Rosemount campus on a regularly scheduled route. Minnesota Transit Valley Authority (MVTA) has confirmed a modified bus line that will include hourly bus stops on weekdays via Route 420. This route connects directly to Rosemount and the Apple Valley Transit Station, offering multiple MVTA and Metro Transit connection points.

Apple Valley & Rosemount, including Dakota County Technical College
Provides new access to the following:
157th Street housing and commercial areas (Apple Valley)
County Road 42 & Highway 3 (Rosemount)
Dakota County Technical CollegeWeekday service
Hourly from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Stops at 145th Street and Cimarron Avenue maintained by public request
Transfer to Route 440 or use MVTA Connect to get to Western Service Center
