Team headed to Fort Dodge, Iowa, to face Iowa Central in NJCAA DII North Plains District Championship
The Blue Knights baseball team (37–16) at Dakota County Technical College won the 2025 NJCAA Region 13 Playoffs by besting the Bismarck State College Mystics (29–24) 10–6 at Rabon Field on the Williston State College campus in Williston, North Dakota, Saturday, May 10, 2025. DCTC advanced to the playoff final game by defeating the Miles Community College Pioneers (38–17) 8–0 and Bismarck State 11–1.

The team is bringing a 20-game winning streak to the NJCAA DII North Plains District Championships May 16–17, 2025. The Blue Knights are playing a best-of-three series versus the Iowa Central Community College Tritons (42–15) at Ed Barbour Field on the Iowa Central campus in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Game one of the tournament is Friday, May 16, at 3 p.m. Game two is Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m. If necessary, game three will be played 45 minutes after game two is completed.
If they win the North Plains District Plains Championship, the Blue Knights will travel to Enid, Oklahoma, to compete in the 2025 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series May 24–June 1, 2025. The national tournament features 12 teams from 10 NJCAA districts and two at-large bids. Games will be played at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in downtown Enid.
Blain Barthel is the team’s head coach. Maris Blanchard and Garrett Boyum serve as the team’s assistant coaches. All home games are played at Ames Field.

DCTC Blue Knights Baseball vs Minnesota Post Grad 2025 (GAME TWO)
The Blue Knights baseball team at Dakota County Technical College played a doubleheader against Minnesota Post Grad Friday, April 18, 2025, at Ames Field on the college’s campus in Rosemount, Minnesota. DCTC lost the first game 0–3, but won the second game 4–0 with freshman pitcher, Kane Sheahan, hurling a no-hitter.
