College welcomes approximately 150 high school students and 30 industry partners to campus
Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) hosted the Transportation Showcase in the Transportation department program areas Wednesday, November 13, 2024, on the college’s campus in Rosemount, Minnesota. Approximately 150 students from Two Rivers High School, TriDistrict CAPS, Burnsville High School, and Northeast Metro 916 attended the event, which featured representatives from around 30 of the college’s industry partners.
DCTC programs participating in the showcase included:
- Auto Body Collision Technology
- Automotive Service Technology
- GM Auto Service Educational Program (GM ASEP)
- Heavy Construction Equipment Technology
- Heavy Duty Truck Technology
- Mopar Career Automotive Program (CAP)
Michaela Holman-Schmidt, a course scheduling analyst at the college, helped organize the showcase. Along with her colleagues on the project, Michaela wished to thank everyone who visited the campus and took part in the event, including sponsors, industry representatives, teachers, and students.
“We also wish to thank all the faculty, staff, and student ambassadors who helped with the Transportation Showcase,” Michaela said. “We couldn’t have done it without them!”
