DCTC brings home NJCAA Region 13 Championship
The Blue Knights baseball team at Dakota County Technical College finished the 2023–2024 season with a 39–13 record. The team went 3–0 to win the NJCAA Region 13 Championship in Miles City, Montana, May 11–12, beating Bismarck State 18–1 in the opening game, Williston State 8–2 in the second game, and Bismarck State 10–5 in the championship game.
DCTC next faced the Des Moines Area Community College Bears at home, May 17–18, in a three-game series for the chance to compete in the 2024 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Oklahoma. The Blue Knights lost the first game 4–12, won the second game 12–10, but lost the final game 3–8.
Head Coach Blaine Barthel was named NJCAA Region 13 Coach of the Year. Colin Gibson, sophomore middle infielder, was named NJCAA Region 13 MVP.

At home at Ames Field, the Blue Knights baseball team at Dakota County Technical College lost 4–12 to the Des Moines Area Community College Bears (36–24) in game one of the North Plains District Baseball Championship three-game series to decide which team would go to the 2024 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.
That same afternoon, DCTC won the second game 12–10, but lost game three 3–8 on Saturday.
