Dakota County Technical College and Inver Hills Community College are joining forces Friday, October 7, 2022, to host the Fourth Annual Day of Service on the Inver Hills campus, online via Zoom, and at locations in the surrounding community. Students, employees, alumni, and community members are invited to give back through an array of community-service projects.

Open Door, Apple Valley • 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. • food warehouse sorting and stocking • led by Jim Unger
Habitat for Humanity, Farmington • 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. • volunteers must commit to WHOLE day • construction work, tools, and lunch provided • led by Brett Kolles
DCTC Highway Clean Up, Hwy 50 in Farmington • Meet at Blue Nose Café parking lot, 20700 Chippendale Avenue West, Farmington at 9:45 a.m. • 9:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. • led by Amy Evanson
Inver Hills Community Garden & Orchard • Inver Hills campus • 10 a.m. – noon • details TBD, but plan to get dirty! • led by Mary Thompson
Letter Writing to Military • online via Zoom • 11 a.m. – noon • led by Elizabeth Howe
Smithsonian Document Transcribe-a-Thon • online via Zoom • noon – 2 p.m. • led by Mercedes Wilson
