Hastings Veterans Home
Student Senate sponsored a “Thank a Veteran” drive during Military Appreciation Week, collecting 118 cards from the campus community. The cards were presented to the Hastings Veterans Home. Each of the 117 veterans residing at the home received a card.
DCTC employees also supported the Hastings Veterans Home by sponsoring three veterans during the holiday season. Campus administrators, faculty and staff purchased and wrapped Christmas gifts for three veterans to make sure they felt remembered during the holiday season.
Toys 4 Military Kids
The Military and Veteran Service Center sponsored Toys 4 Military Kids drive in November 2018 for the third consecutive year, collecting about 50 items to donate to the organization. Toys 4 Military Kids provides Christmas gifts for military personnel to give to their children.
