10 students receive $250 gift cards for four weeks of perfect attendance
The winners of the Fall 2017 Attendance Challenge at Dakota County Technical College have been announced. All students with perfect attendance during the first four weeks of the semester were entered into a drawing for a $250 Visa gift card. Ten students were selected.
Four previous attendance challenges show that students who attend 100 percent of their classes during the first four weeks of a semester set the stage for lasting success in a number of ways. Those students tend to:
- Complete a higher percentage of attempted credits
- Achieve higher GPAs
- Stand a better chance of staying in school and finishing their program
It’s a foregone conclusion: Making attendance a priority inevitably contributes to academic success.
