Anthony Hanto wins silver medal in Electrical Construction Wiring
Jared Horton takes bronze in Medical Terminology

Nine students from Dakota County Technical College traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, June 19–23, 2017, to compete in the 53rd annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC). An estimated 16,000 students, teachers and business partners took part in the prestigious career and technical education event, which showcases the knowledge and talent of SkillsUSA students from across the United States.

Anthony Hanto, a student in DCTC Electrical Construction & Maintenance Technology program, took home a silver medal in the Electrical Construction and Wiring competition. Anthony won gold in that competition at the 50th Annual Minnesota SkillsUSA Championships Conference to advance to the 2017 NLSC.

Jared Horton, a student in the Medical Assistant program, won a bronze medal in the Medical Terminology competition. Jared also took gold at the Minnesota conference.
