The LBGT Resource Center at St. Cloud State University is presenting Creating a Safe Space on Campus Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in Room 1-630 on the main campus of Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minnesota. Hosted by the college’s Sexuality and Gender Acceptance Association (SAGA) in partnership with the Diversity Council, the training event takes place from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. and is open to all students and faculty. Topics covered will include:

  • Learning how to make a classroom inclusive
  • Basics of LGBTQA and the terms
  • How to have tough conversations in the midst of conflicting views

The Sexuality and Gender Acceptance Association (SAGA) was started to create a community on campus for anyone who identifies in the LGBTQQIAA community at Dakota County Technical College. SAGA provides support and promotes acceptance at DCTC. All persons are welcome to participate.
