Mitchell Kochenash will serve as state officer for the 2016-17 school year
Mitchell Kochenash, a member of the Dakota County Technical College SkillsUSA team, has been selected as a state officer. Kochenash was chosen to serve as an officer at large for SkillsUSA Minnesota during the Delegate Assembly Conference Nov. 22 held at South Central Technical College in North Mankato.
Kochenash, a student in the Electrical Construction and Maintenance program, will learn his specific position at the officer conference Dec. 10. As an officer, Kochenash will serve during the 2016-2017 school year, with both high school and collegiate state officers. He will travel to events across the state, sharing the message of Career and Technical Education, and specifically the message of SkillsUSA.
SkillsUSA Minnesota officers work together to develop engaging educational conferences for the thousands of student members statewide. Additionally, they visit business and industry representatives and legislative representatives. Through effective speaking and facilitating techniques, SkillsUSA Minnesota leaders communicate the message of career-readiness.
