Dakota County Technical College will host a workshop presented by prominent speaker Bobby Audley 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 in the Dakota Room.

Presenting on Employability Skills, Audley will focus his presentation on critical thinking, problem solving, professionalism, work ethic, teamwork and collaboration. Audley covers topics that the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) deems important for career readiness. Additionally, Audley’s workshop is designed to increase student engagement and success by stretching participants outside of their comfort zone.Bobby Audley

Assistant Director of Student Life Anna Voight said Audley is a highly sought after speaker and teambuilding facilitator for college student leaders and student athletes.

“Bobby brings a passion for students and leadership development that makes it fun to learn about topics such as critical thinking and collaboration, skills that are vital in the workplace,” said Voight.

The workshop is open to all students. Voight said the workshop will be especially valuable to students with limited work experience or those hoping to move up the ladder within their company.

“My hope is that students walk away from this workshop feeling motivated to be the best student and employee they can be, with an increased knowledge of the soft skills need to advance in their careers,” said Voight.
