Club will collect food donations Oct. 10 – 17 for 360 Communities in Rosemount
The Dakota County Technical College Lions Club has the honor of collecting non-perishable items for the Relieving the Hunger Campaign An estimated 42.2 million Americans went hungry or had food insecurity in 2015. Of that 42.2 million, 13.1 million were children. No one should ever go hungry.
The Lions Club would like to encourage everyone on campus to donate at least one can of non-perishable food or other necessities. The food drive will run from Oct. 10 through Oct. 17. The donation center will be in the Central Commons across from the Student Life Center.
All items collected will be donated to 360 Communities in Rosemount. In addition, the club will donate $200 to the food shelf. The money was collected from members of various Lions Clubs at a banquet for International Club President Bob Corlew, which was held at DCTC on Oct. 7.
