Outstanding Educators will be honored April 20 in St. Paul
Dakota County Technical College Business and Management Instructor Harold Torrence has been named a 2016 Board of Trustees Outstanding Educator. The honor is bestowed on Minnesota State Colleges and Universities faculty to acknowledge and reward exceptional individual professional accomplishment while encouraging ongoing excellence in teaching. The Board of Trustees recognized 35 faculty members with the honor.
This award spotlights superior teaching at MnSCU colleges and universities. On behalf of the entire system, the award reflects Board of Trustees pride in the dedication and accomplishment faculty demonstrates when providing instruction that prepares Minnesota college and university students for their professional, scholarly and civic lives.
The 35 Outstanding Educators are nominees for the Board of Trustees Awards for Excellence in Teaching, which acknowledges and rewards exceptional professional achievements in teaching. The Outstanding Educators will be honored during a luncheon at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown St. Paul on April 20, 2017. The Awards for Excellence in Teaching will be announced at that time.
