Justin Sinkula takes home a Gold Medal in Information Systems Technology
DCTC has a National Champion in Information Systems Technology! Justin Sinkula, advised by Scott Determan, took home the gold medal at the recent SkillsUSA 51st Annual National Leadership Skills Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky the week of June 23 – 26, 2015. This marks the first time that DCTC placed nationally in the Information Systems Technology.
SkillsUSA programs teach leadership, citizenship and character development to complement technical skill training. The organization emphasizes respect for the dignity of work, ethics, workmanship, scholarship and safety.This conference is a showcase of career and technical education students. More than 16,000 people — including students, teachers and business partners participated in the weeklong event.

Kevin Day, Computer Programming, placed 9th
Joy Davitt, Early Childhood Education, placed 5th
Jessica Trussell, Medical Terminology, placed 9th
