Eleven BPA students advance to national conference
Students from Dakota County Technical College took part in the 2015 Minnesota BPA State Leadership Conference at Alexandria Technical and Community College in Alexandria, Minnesota, Feb. 19–21, 2015, taking home 65 awards in the top 10 placings. Eleven participants advanced to the National Leadership Conference to be held in Anaheim, California, in May 2015.
Lyle Stelter, DCTC accounting instructor and BPA faculty advisor, is honored to be a part of the teaching process that leads outstanding students to their respective career fields. “I am so proud of our students for winning so many awards at the BPA State Leadership Conference,” Stelter said. “The students gave their best and it paid off.” Added Marie Saunders, program advisor, “We encourage all students enrolled at DCTC to consider becoming a member of Business Professionals of America.”
