Wednesday, March 4, 2015 • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. • Central Commons
On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dakota County Technical College will host a second Charting the Future Gallery Walk in the Central Commons on the college’s main campus in Rosemount, Minnesota. The purpose of the Gallery Walk is to get feedback from campus and area communities about the work of the following Charting the Future implementation teams:
- Academic Planning and Collaboration
- Competency Certification and Credit for Prior Learning
- Education Technology
- Information Technology Systems Design
Last fall, DCTC hosted a similar Gallery Walk to obtain feedback on the work of the following CTF implementation teams:
- Student Success
- Diversity
- Comprehensive Workplace Solutions
- System Incentives and Rewards
Nearly 300 people attended the event on the DCTC campus. Feedback from DCTC Gallery Walk attendees will be available on the CTF blog in late February.
You are encouraged to attend one of the 39 Gallery Walks happening across the state. You can attend in person or provide feedback via the online Gallery Walk (available through March). You can also send feedback by e-mail to MyIdeas and follow @mnscu on Twitter using #ChartingTheFuture.
The eight teams and the Gallery Walks are all part of Charting the Future, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities strategic planning process that has drawn significant attention and discussion across the state. The teams were formed to act on six recommendations developed with input from more than 5,000 students, faculty and staff, and adopted by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees in November 2013.
Teams featured in the Gallery Walks last fall are currently reviewing their Gallery Walk information to refine their initial ideas and concepts. Teams featured in the Gallery Walks this spring are expected to receive their Gallery Walk feedback in May. The teams will then review and refine their initial ideas and concepts over the summer and in early fall.
