NASL soccer visits DCTC
Players from Minnesota United FC practiced at the Ames Soccer Complex on the main campus of Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minn., July 9, 2014. Ames is the home field of Blue Knights men and women’s soccer.
As the NSC Minnesota Stars, United won the 2011 Soccer Bowl in the North American Soccer League‘s inaugural year, defeating the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the NASL Championship Series. The team was rebranded Minnesota United FC in 2013 and are nicknamed the Loons.
