DCTC ranks first in Region 13 for award winners in men’s sports programs
The NJCAA National Office in Colorado Springs, Colo., recently announced the recipients of the 2010–2011 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards. Four students from Dakota County Technical College made the list, ranking DCTC fourth in NJCAA Region 13 with the most NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete award winners. DCTC ranked first for award winners in men’s athletic programs.
“NJCAA Region 13 has 26 member institutions,” said DCTC Athletics Director Cam Stoltz. “Having this many Academic Student-Athletes at our college is made even more impressive by the fact that DCTC has the smallest athletics department for overall athletes and total number of sports when compared to other schools in Region 13.”
