Eric Mills wins 5K run by 2 minutes plus; Avgust Evseev brings home mile
The 2011 DCTC Healthy Knight 5K/1 Mile brought out nearly 70 participants on a beautiful afternoon in early May. Eric Mills crushed the 5K run with a winning time of 18:20.1, which was 2 minutes and 20 seconds faster than his closest competitor, Jamos Serba, who completed the run in 20:40.5. Patrick Lisok picked up third place with a time of 21:16.9. Finishing fifth overall with a time of 21:26.7, Summer Groth was the top female runner.
Avgust Evseev won the 1 mile run with a time of 7:00.6. Hugo Cardoza came in a close second with a time of 7:05.0; Riley Dahlheimer took third with 7:11.3.
With a time of 46:22.5, Stephanie Serres crossed the finish line first in the 5K walk followed by Jill Behnke and Kim Gelhar with times of 47:44.2 and 49:27.4 respectively.
