Help Your Neighbor

Students raising money and donations for Neighbors, Inc.

Students in the Office Procedures class in the Office Careers department at Dakota County Technical College are hard at work on a civic engagement project to raise money and donations for Neighbors, Inc. Located in South St. Paul, Neighbors, Inc., provides food and emergency services to people living in Dakota County.

Neighbors, Inc., also provides non-food items, including high-demand personal hygiene and household products that are often overlooked during donation drives:

  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • Laundry detergent
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Razors
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Blankets
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Dish soap
  • Deodorant
  • And more…

To collect the above items, students have deployed donation boxes around the DCTC Rosemount campus at the ITC, Student Life Center and West Commons entryway. The students are also accepting monetary donations that will go toward the purchase of such items. Any type of donation would be greatly appreciated by the class and the people who benefit from the services of Neighbors, Inc.
