Working hard in August heat
The Blue Knights men and women’s soccer teams held their second practice session of the season Tuesday, August 9, at the Ames Soccer Complex. Conditions were sunny and 85 °F with with 81 percent humidity and a 98 °F heat index, which meant the players were drinking a lot of water as they pushed through their drills.
The women open their season with an exhibition game against the St. Cloud State University Huskies Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at 2:15 p.m. The men face the St. Olaf College Oles in an exhibition game Tuesday, Aug 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. Both games are away.
