Coach Stoltz reports new wave of players packed with talent and experience
Soccer season at DCTC gets underway Monday, Aug. 9, 2010. Both the women and men’s soccer teams will be starting practice sessions at the Ames Soccer Complex on the college’s Rosemount campus with rosters strengthened by incoming freshman. Cam Stoltz, athletic coordinator and head coach of both teams, reported that recruitment has been great. The player pool for the women stands at 20–25 with the men at 30–35.

Matthew Jarman
- Played striker for Cardiff City FC Under 19s in Cardiff, Wales
- Played as U19 at international level for Wales against England and Australia
- Earned six caps, or six appearances on the Wales National Team
- Named 2010 Sports Personality of the Year for The College Ystrad Mynach
- 100m and 800m champion for Welsh Schools
- Enrolling in DCTC Exercise and Sport Science program
- Played with and is personal friends with Aaron Ramsey of the Premier League
Cassie Solis
- Graduate of Farmington High School in Farmington, Minn.
- Played midfield and fullback on Tiger varsity for two years

- Enrolled in DCTC Child Development program with plans to transfer and obtain bachelor’s degree in elementary education

Hugo Cardoza
- Native of Fontana, Calif.
- Both brother and father were professional soccer players in Chile
- Played on three high school championship teams as offensive midfielder
- As a sophomore, scored game-winning goal that propelled his team to first playoff appearance in 15 years and eventual Citrus Belt League championship
- Enrolled in Welding Technology program with plans to take general education course
- Won a SkillsUSA award in 2009 as one of the most skilled welders in a trade program in California
Hanna Schulzetenberg
- Graduate of Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minn.
- Played central full back, or stopper, for Lightning
- Earned All-Section Award and All-Lake Conference Honorable Mention
- Teammates voted her “Miss Tackle”
- Played club soccer for Lakeville Premier Soccer over the last five seasons
- Plans to earn bachelor’s degree in psychology after earning general education credits at DCTC
- Father a member of 1970 and 1971 state basketball tournament teams from Melrose, Minn.,

Benny Kargbo
- Native of London, England
- Played attacking and defensive center midfielder for the London Kingsbury Tigers in 2005 and 2006
- Spent two years with Wealdstone FC
- Team made semifinals of Dana Cup in Denmark
- Team advanced to knockout stages of Gothia Cup in Sweden
- Spent time with teammate Jermaine Beckford, now at Everton FC
- Enrolling in Exercise and Sports Science program
- Enjoys learning about anything related to sports, including coaching

Sandy Dyer

Jair Delgado

- Three-year varsity letter winner on Panthers soccer team
- Played attacking center midfielder and sometimes on the wing
- Panthers won 2007 Lake Conference championship with a 17–1–2 record
- Received All-Conference honors as senior, helping Lakeville North reach state tournament for first time
