Marine veteran Heidi Bailly triumphs

Heidi Bailly, a former U.S. Marine and a student in the DCTC Photography program, followed the Marine mantra “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome” to take home the top prize at In It to Win It, a competition based on the NBC game show Minute to Win It. Progressing through five different games—Face the Cookie, Hanky Panky, Johnny Applestack, Tipsy and Stack Attack—Bailly outlasted 14 other competitors using speed, ingenuity and superior eye-hand coordination.
“It was really fun,” Bailly said afterward. “I would definitely do it again.”
Rudy, the afternoon DJ at 93X, emceed the competition, which took place Tuesday, May 11, in the central commons on the DCTC Rosemount campus. Future competitions are in the works with new games and more prizes.
