DCTC Fastpitch heading for training tournament in Texas next March

Head Softball Coach Aaron Vail announced that the Blue Knights fastpitch softball program will be attending the 2011 Texas Gulf Coast Splash spring training tournament in Brownsville, Texas, next March. “This tournament offers us a new and exciting opportunity to attend a premier tournament while getting out of the frozen tundra of the Upper Midwest,” said Vail. “We loved our experience in Tucson this spring, but we hope that the Texas Gulf Coast Splash tournament will have more teams to play at the junior college level.”
The Knights will play roughly eight and 14 games between the dates of March 17 and 26, 2011. This event is held every year from February–April. Located just 25 minutes from South Padre Island, Brownsville is famous for hosting a great tournament with beautiful weather.
