2009 Multicultural Celebration

Save the date for the 2010 Multicultural Celebration Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the central commons on the Rosemount campus of Dakota County Technical College. Join us as we gather together to share our cultures and celebrate the diversity we have achieved at our college.

We will have a wide variety of delicious foods to sample. Donations are welcome to help raise money for student scholarships. You can also visit displays from more than 30 different countries.

Guest Speakers
  • 10 a.m. Joyce Ludwig
    A student in the DCTC Graphic Design Technology, Multimedia and Web Design, and Electronic Publishing programs, Joyce will be speak on Native American culture, her personal struggles and what brought her back to DCTC.
  • 10:20 a.m. Heather Cannon-Winkelman
    A freelance writer and human rights workers, Heather will be talking about her life and her work in Liberia.
  • 10:40 a.m. Tatiana Lozada & Carmen Galindez
    Students in the DCTC Practical Nursing program and DCTC Multicultural Management program respectively, Tatiana and Carmen will be talking about Venezuela, its history and the meanings of some of the dances that will be performed.
