Former DCTC Blue Knights standout Ben Briesacher signed with the Kalamazoo Kings, a professional baseball team out of Kalamazoo, Mich., that competes in the Eastern Division of the Frontier League. Briesacher will play first base and outfield for the Kings, a team that took home the league title in 2005.

During his two-year career with the Knights, Briesacher, a graduate of Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, Minn., was a big-time hitter. He batted .389 in 2009, racking up 58 hits in 149 at bats—including 10 doubles—and 49 RBIs. A speedster on the base paths, he scored 36 runs and stole 12 bases in 15 attempts.
