Charlotte Kodner filmed as extra on The Convincer

Office Careers Instructor Charlotte Kodner recently completed work as an extra during the filming of The Convincer, a Midwestern crime drama about a salesman hunting down a rare violin. Billy Crudup, Greg Kinnear, Lea Thompson and Alan Arkin star in the movie, which is directed by Jill Sprecher.
Kodner was on set as a casino patron for a scene shot at the Ramada Mall of America. “One scene I hope they keep is where I walk right past Greg Kinnear, who has just finished gambling at the craps table,” she said. “I was also on set with Alan Arkin.”
An experienced stage actor who has appeared at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wis., Kodner has worked as an extra on a number of feature films besides The Convincer, including A Serious Man, Prairie Home Companion, Carousel of Revenge, also called Arnold’s Park, and The Last Word. Her stage work includes lead roles in Steel Magnolias and The Cemetery Club.
