LAHT Grad Mary Clymer wins 2010 Grand Honor Award in MNLA Competition
On Jan. 6–8, 2010, students, graduates and instructors in the Landscape Horticulture program at Dakota County Technical College attended the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association Northern Green Expo, an annual convention and trade show for the state’s green industries held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. LAHT students and faculty checked out workshops, browsed trade show booths and reconnected with program alumni as well as leaders in the industry.
LAHT Alumna Mary Clymer won the 2010 MNLA Grand Honor Award for Residential Design via a juried competition. Clymer is a successful landscape designer at Gertens in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
Current students, Annette Cayard and Paul O’Gara, were awarded MNLA Foundation scholarships at the Northern Green Expo’s Awards Luncheon. The MNLA, Bachman’s, Inc. and Hoffman and McNamara, of Hastings, Minn., sponsored the scholarships.
