Former Blue Knights powerhouse joining Griffons lineup
Dillon Powell accepted an offer to play baseball at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo. Powell, who made NJCAA All-Region XIII and MCAC All-South Division in 2009, played one year as a sophomore for DCTC at third base and in the outfield. Last season, he batted .380 with 14 doubles and 39 RBIs.
MWSU baseball competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, or MIAA, finishing fifth in 2009 with a 22–16 conference record, 34–22 overall. The conference is composed of 11 teams from NCAA Div. II schools in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska.
