Riverland puts things out of reach with a five-run fifth inning. On the mound, Justin Kohls allowed eight hits, four walks, and seven runs in four innings of work. Will Dahlgren, Billy Cook and Adam Stuessel each had two hits in the game.

In game two, DCTC jumped all over Riverland’s starting pitcher, scoring three runs in the first inning and four in the second. First-inning scoring highlights included a solo homer from Marcus Fitzgerald and a two-run blast from Braun. Chase Brown cracked a grand slam in the second.

The Blue Knights tacked on two more runs in the sixth, which was more than enough cushion for the DCTC pitchers. Brad Lawson got the start and pitched five solid innings, allowing five hits and three runs to go along with five strikeouts.

Aaron Kackman came on in relief and threw two scoreless innings. Spencer Braun went three for four with three RBIs. Marcus Fitzgerald added a double, leading the team with 12, to go along with a homerun.
