The Blue Knights men’s soccer team continued it stretch of good play on Friday, Oct. 12 by defeating Kansas City Community College 3-1.
The game was played at Augsburg College’s Nelson Stadium with Moe Tanglenen leading the Blue Knights.
Tanglenen scored two of DCTC’s three goals. His first goal came in the first half on a 20-yard free kick that he bent around Kansas City’s wall and deflected it off the post into the net.
He followed that in the second half with another goal that made it 2-0. The score went up to 3-0 when Kansas City deflected a DCTC corner kick into its own goal.
Kansas City added a late goal but by that time it was to late to overcome the strong play of the Blue Knights.
The win improves DCTC’s record to 9-8 on the season.
