DCTC will now offer walk-in testing to students who need to take the ACCUPLACER test.
Students have the opportunity to take the test Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The testing will be done in the Instructional Technology Center (ITC).
Students should check in at the front desk or in student services before proceeding to the ITC.
Previously, testing was given by appointment only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Evening testing is available by appointment during Tuesday Evening Campus Visit. Students wishing to take a test in the evening must make a reservation by calling Student Services at (651) 423-8000. Testing on Tuesday evenings will be held in room 1-116.
The ACCUPLACER test is an assessment of reading comprehension, sentence skills and arithmetic skills. The results help provide advisors information needed for course recommendations and placement.
Students may be exempt from the test if they have a previous degree, have completed appropriate college-level coursework or have taken the ACCUPLACER test with the last two years.
