The Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) recently announced $2,500 in grants to Dakota County Technical College to support research and education.
Jeff Kleinbohl of Dakota County Technical College was awarded a $2,500 grant at the Minnesota Green Expo held in January to establish a Minnesota-based Irrigation Association trained and certified instructor.
“The MNLA is committed to the long-term improvement of the environment and our industry’s future by supporting research and students at area colleges and universities,” said John Mickman, chairman of the board of trustees of the MNLA Foundation.
The MNLA Foundation raises funds for research and education through voluntary contributions from members including garden centers; landscape contractors and designers; tree and flower growers; irrigation contractors; and lawn, tree, and garden services.
