Blue Knight Men’s Soccer Team Victorious Over Conference Leader Iowa Central Tritons, Women Look To Improve

The DCTC Blue Knight men gained a big win this past weekend over rival and current conference leader Iowa Central on Saturday in Fort Dodge, Iowa, defeating the Tritons 1-0.

Scoring the game-winning goal for the Blue Knights was Marwa Omot (Minneapolis, Minn.), assisted by Issak Haile (St. Louis Park, Minn.). The DCTC men’s three-year record versus the Tritons now sits at 2-3-0.

In conference play, the Blue Knight men’s record currently stands at 3-2-0 with an overall record of 4-5-0 with 11 games left in the season.

Also playing Iowa Central this past weekend, the Blue Knight women fell 7-1. Scoring the lone goal for the Blue Knights was Emily Darmer, assisted by Julie Selves.

The Blue Knight women are currently 1-3-1 overall and 0-3-0 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). The team hopes to get on track this week when they host St. Olaf at the Rosemount Irish Sports Dome at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and travel to Rochester Community and Technical College on Friday.

The Blue Knight men will also travel this weekend, with games at Madison Area Technical College and Milwaukee Area Technical College.
