DCTC Student Farewell at Statewide SkillsUSA Competition

Six Dakota County Technical College students recently competed at the Minnesota Skills USA competition, receiving high marks in several categories.

Second-place honors were given to Thomas Kleven in Masonry, Dale Novak for Collision Repair Technology and Brandon Bondelon for Residential Wiring.

Receiving third-place were Jim Brownlee for Masonry, Kyle Muehlberg for Related Technical Math and Brian O’Neil for Residential Wiring.

Skills USA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. Skills USA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.

DCTC congratulates the students who participated in the year’s competition.
