The third annual Dakota County Technical College Showcase was a huge success, with over 2200 people attending.
“This was a great turnout! People came to see what is new at the college. It was definitely the place to be that evening,” said Sharon LaComb, vice president at DCTC.
In addition to the 2200 guests, 66 businesses and six chambers of commerce participated in the Showcase, providing an assortment of complimentary food and beverages and donating over $60,000 to support student scholarships.
The College Showcase is an event that celebrates the college’s degree programs while allowing alumni, students, potential students, community members and business people to connect with and learn more about the college. The event is held annually the last Wednesday in March at the main campus in Rosemount.
“This event has grown for the past three years, reaching more people each year. Be sure to mark your calendars for March 28, 2007, and plan on joining us as a sponsor or guest,” said LaComb.
