After dropping their first two games on the road in Iowa, the Dakota County Technical College Blue Knights men’s soccer team looked strong in its inaugural home game, coming out to win 6-2 against North Iowa Area Community College on Aug. 31.
Standouts for the Blue Knights included Casey Holm, who scored twice, and Chris Kemp, Pat Harnett, Justin Chang, and Isaak Haile, who turned in single-goal performances. Dan Nettleton collected two assists on the day.
Next up for the Knights is the Blue Knights Kickoff Tournament this weekend (Sept. 3-4). On Saturday, the men’s team takes on Lake County, Ill. at 12 p.m., while on Sunday, the men’s team faces off against Neosho County Community College (Kansas) at 12 p.m., with a follow-up women’s game at 2 p.m., also against Neosho County.
The women’s team then takes to the road on Wednesday, Sept. 7 for a 4 p.m. contest against Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd.
