Five faculty from Dakota County Technical College’s Business & Entrepreneurship Institute recently earned the Certified Manager designation from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
The Certified Manager designation identifies those who have met requirements in the areas of education and experience and have passed a comprehensive exam covering managerial theories and applications. In addition, Certified Managers accept the commitment for ongoing professional development through annual recertification requirements.
DCTC faculty earning the certification are Scott R. Gunderson, lead instructor for the Supervisory Management Program, and four Adjunct faculty, W. Fred Hawkins,Ronald Poole, Antar Salim and Nicholas Hockert. Worldwide, more than 10,000 management professionals have earned certification through ICPM, which is headquartered at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
