Blue Knights Soccer Teams Get Ready For The New Season

Coming off a successful inaugural season, the Blue Knights soccer program begins practice in early August. The women’s squad will attempt to recapture its regional championship and build on its 15-5-0 record.

Meanwhile, the Blue Knights’ men’s team will take the field for the first time. Coach Cam Stoltz, who will lead both teams, believes both teams will be very competitive and anticipates the season will draw attention from local soccer fans of all ages.

“We are looking forward to the season starting and encourage the community to come on out and see us play,” Stoltz said. “We are the only game in town for college soccer locally, and the only two- or four-year public college with a men’s team.”

The Blue Knights women start the season Aug. 25 at Rochester Community and Technical College, the men begin Aug. 28 at home against Iowa Western Community College. Stay tuned to goblueknights.com for more updates!
