As many of you are aware, last December (2013) my colleague of ten years, Jill Behnke, retired from teaching. Although I held my own during spring semester as the only full-time ECYD faculty, I was eagerly awaiting the hire of a full-time faculty member.

This summer the hiring committee identified Sharon Bergen as the best candidate for our program. Sharon has been an adjunct in our program for four years. I am honored to have her officially join our team full-time this fall and look forward to planning the future of our program with her!
